Working together with a psychologist, you can feel supported as you learn new skills, problem-solve your issues and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and coping. I mainly work with children, young people and parents. I have experience in the treatment of emotional, behavioural, and mental health issues. I use a person-centred approach and emphasize building a positive therapeutic relationship where we can explore issues together and develop helpful ways to manage these. My therapeutic style is influenced by compassion psychology, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy and I blend these with principles/ strategies from the cognitive-behaviour therapy model. I work from a strengths-based perspective, building on existing strengths to help the person develop further skills and understanding.
