About Me

I am a private practitioner psychologist, in Bowral.

I started working in the psychology field in 1998, after six years of study at the University of Queensland, finishing with a Masters Degree in Educational and Developmental Psychology. My training emphasised evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Family/ Systems Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and Attachment Theory based therapeutic approaches. More recently I have added skills in the Mindfulness-based therapeutic approach. I find that in therapy I will apply a range of strategies from various approaches.
I am passionate about working with young people to promote resilience, and use a strengths-based approach.
During my professional journey I have worked with children, families, adolescents, adults and therapeutic groups. My range of experience includes providing individual therapy, group programs and staff development in the mental health, disability, substance use and education fields. I have developed a range of therapeutic resources and therapeutic groups across a range of sectors.
